Welcome to September

Growing conditions have been perfect throughout the month of August and the vegetables have never been better.  Why not stop by on Saturday to see for yourself?

Value added:  Small jars (250 ml) of pickled beets (red or white).  Save yourself the time and trouble of doing your own - only $ 2.50 per jar, and if you like them you can buy the larger jars that will be available later in September.  If you don't like them, no worries - you haven't wasted very much money.

Kohlrabi, delicious raw or steamed, makes a truly excellent cole slaw when grated with carrot and onion.

My tomatoes are slow to turn red and those that are red at time of writing (Thursday afternoon) have already been promised to someone.  However, by Saturday morning I am certain that there will be more red ones on the vine.
